“ Cherrywood Apple Bacon Benedict, Chicken Fried Steak, and Strawberry Waffle! Restrooms are impeccably clean! Plenty of seating, nice waiting area, friendly employees. My champagne came in a bottle so I could mix my own measurements - love this! 10/10 recommend if you're heading to the snow or coming back! Lunch options looked great too! ”
“ Great service, our server Pearl was wonderful but the entire team is great! Food was fantastic, some of the best cooked omelettes I've had in the area. Customize to your liking and count on a perfect cook. Clean and lively atmosphere, you're ideal diner feel but clean . Will return for sure. ”
“ The food was amazing. My husband and I split the potato skin Benedict. My sister in law and I had the mimosas with fresh squeezed mandarin oranges and everything was delicious . Again I am weird about the taste of water...and the service was amazing. The restaurant is big and always full of people. It's the best stop for a great meal from Reno to Sac. The tables were clean and bathrooms were fine. ”
“ One of our favorite spots in Auburn. We've been going here for over a decade. Loved the old spot in old town, but the new location off of 80 is bigger so we didn't have to wait :-) The food is always fresh and filling (look at that fruit) and the service is so friendly and warm. I wasn't as much a fan of the biscuit this last time, but that's likely because I was trying to eat healthy and skipped the country gravy! ”
“ While awful may be in the name, it is anything but awful! Awful Annie's is a great place to get breakfast, even though the parking can be a pain. They have an awesome selection of benedicts all the time, and will usually have one on their daily specials menu. The place is busy every time I've been there. They have a nice homey feel that makes you think you're eating at a friend or relatives place. Always get the bacon flight. It comes with cherrywood smoked, jalapeño, sweet Thai, and candied varieties. The sweet Thai is by far my favorite. The bacon is served just the way I like it... not super crispy but not rubbery. Just right. My most recent visit, I got the daily special Jalapeño Cornbread Benedict. It was super tasty. Definitely had a little bit of kick to it! The ham was shaved nice and thin so it was easy to cut and get a bite of every ingredient in each bite. And, of course, the egg was packed perfectly so the yolk will run all the way down to the plate. The cornbread wasn't quite as dense as I prefer, but it was not dry, so that's good. My son got the Morning Mess, which was very colorful! I don't recall it being so colorful in the past, but I believe it's because we normally get it with meat. This time was sans meat. He enjoyed it and I enjoyed his leftovers the next day! Overall, great place to go for breakfast with friends and loved ones. Very good food for both breakfast and lunch, but I have to say I prefer their breakfast over lunch. ”
“ Great breakfast and lunch spot. The corned beef hash composed of real shredded meat and was very good. Good food, decent portions, hospitable service in a cute country corner type of setting. Stopping here makes the drive to and from Tahoe a delight. ”
“ I was out for a drive, so decided to stop here for a late breakfast. I've been here once before, and really enjoyed the food. Even at 10 AM on a Monday morning, the place was relatively busy. Apparently, over the weekend it gets very, very busy I was seated immediately. The place is clean and bright, everybody was very friendly, and it has a "country café", vibe, although it is a very good sized restaurant. They also have a full bar. Last time I was here, I had the "morning mess" Ornette, and it was delicious. But it was a lot of food. This time, I decided to have the artichoke omelette. Artichoke hearts, mushrooms, with Jack and cheddar cheese. It comes with hollandaise sauce, but because I am trying to eat healthier, I asked them to put salsa on it instead. Instead of potatoes, I had a nice selection of fruit, and I also asked for a biscuit. Everything was delicious! The omelette was just the right size, I loved the artichoke hearts and the mushrooms, and the amount of cheese was just right. The salsa went very well with it. Just a little bit of spice on it. The biscuit was large and fluffy, with a delicious strawberry jam. I don't know where they get their jam, but it did not taste like your average store-bought jam. It was extremely good. They kept my coffee full, and that was also very good. The price was very reasonable, and they also offer a military/veterans discount. I will be back. Thank you very much. ”
“ Mother's Day breakfast. It's always such a treat to come here. About. 30 min drive for us. Well worth it. Such a special treat. Their Monte Cristo is the best! And the cinnamon French toast is SOO delicious! The service is always awesome too! They constantly make rounds to be sure u have everything needed and drinks are full! ”
